Room Leader

Employer: Wonder Education Group

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and direct the daily operations of your assigned room, ensuring a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
  2. Arrange the classroom and observe children according to Wonder Education’s philosophy, utilising these observations to enhance engagement and learning.
  3. Develop and implement play-based educational programs that are innovative, adhere to the Early Years Learning Framework, and meet each child’s individual needs.
  4. Track, document, and assess children’s development, leveraging this information for curriculum design and continuous learning support.
  5. Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, promoting open communication and collaborative efforts.
  6. Mentor and assist junior educators, providing guidance, training, and avenues for professional growth.
  7. Uphold all legal, regulatory, and centre policies and procedures consistently.

 

Qualifications:

  1. Obtain a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education or an equivalent qualification.
  2. A diploma or higher in early childhood education is required.
  3. A minimum of 3 years of experience in early childhood education, including at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the ELYF and NQS.
  5. Montessori Certification for ages 0–3 or 3–6 (preferred).
  6. Current First Aid and CPR certification, and a valid Working with Children Check

  1. Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate programs that foster children’s learning and development.
  2. Ensure all practices align with regulatory requirements (National Regulations, NQS) and the EYLF V2.0, providing robust support for children’s growth.
  3. Cultivate strong collaborative relationships with fellow early childhood educators.
  4. Engage positively with families, establishing strong connections and supporting home-school collaboration.
  5. Demonstrate proactive flexibility in managing daily tasks to ensure seamless centre operations.

 

Qualifications:

  1. A completed Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA equivalent).
  2. Previous working experience in Early Childhood Education
  3. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the ELYF and NQS.
